Bad Contagions.

1:00am, Friday, tired and weary I write. This past week has been rough to say the least. I've been rather sick you see, and with immunosuppressants, even the lightest of colds can leave me bed ridden soaking in my own sweat. Tonights post by nature will be short, as I have decided to write at a time when most of the nation would be sleeping... or partying? The focus of this early morning post is to create a summation of my week, and to colourfully explain the effects of a generic cold on a weakened body; obviously with a little context.

Strap into your seats ladies and gents because you may possibly be in for a typical online whine. Scandalous I know.

My week began like any other; wake up, follow my routine, go to sleep. But come Tuesday and I began to feel the gentle caress of a feather in the back of my throat. I had fallen victim to the dastardly 'acute viral Rhinopharyngitis' or the common cold. You see this common cold had been making its rounds through my friends and family, seemingly forgetting about me. I basked in the glory that was my innate disposition of catching colds. That is, until I caught it. Now I've had my fair share of illness in my life, maybe even more so than the average Dick and Jane. But recently due to a preexisting genetic condition of mine, I've had to begin immunosuppression therapy. In layman's terms, I am taking pills that stop my immune system from attacking the tissue within my body. It was found that my immune system was so strong, it seemed to deem my body insufficient to be able to harness its full potential. Obviously this isn't the case, but I mean, it sounds much better than having a type of bowel disease, right?... This medicine calms my immune system to a point where it runs at about 75-50%, meaning that even the common cold can kick me where it hurts. But I've digressed. Essentially this week there's not been too much to report on, my humble readers. Unless you'd like my critique on the American Horror Story series.Which is a good watch, I'll add. This has been the case due to finally receiving my round of sickness, from a tickle in my throat to early morning fevers, it was an experience to behold. Until this week I could never imagine myself comfortably sleeping on a bathroom floor, in the middle of winter at 3 in the morning. But go figure, if your body needs to cool down, you can bet your arse it's gonna make you somehow. That was yesterday. Today I've been a little luckier as the brunt of this cold has been left behind me. Now I lay merely coughing and wheezing as I attempt to find temporary solace in sleep. Come tomorrow and hopefully this sickness will be behind me. In the end, this week has been a bust in terms of getting any actual work done. So with that I believe that I've sufficiently updated you all on the happenings of my humble life.

From me to you. I truly hope you enjoyed this weeks insight into everyday life from my perspective.

A word from the writer.

Josh.
