Silence.

Good evening to all who have stumbled upon my space of mental freedom. As I last wrote, today's post is not that of a recount, but more of an independent discussion. Something a little different and easier to digest, rather than the copious amounts of mind-numbingly 'Academic' writing.
So whats in store for todays nonsensical ramblings? Well as I write this, I have no clue. Which isn't a bad thing mind you, sometimes just writing itself can calm ones mind.
...
Never mind an idea has awoken in the shallow depths of my cognitive processes.
Do you ever wonder what place each and every person you pass in your life, plays in the grand scheme of society? Sometimes I like to just sit and watch the rush of life pass me by, in the form of the everyday person guided by there own mysterious pursuits. It's not anything life changing. But it kills time, and in a life where time is a never ending army of boredom inducing adversaries, killing it is all the better.
Throughout my life there have been moments where time seems to spans in all directions, leaving me stranded in a cacophony of silence. This silence is the time I use to reflect on essentially all I've experienced. From the cliche moments, where my brain has decided to remind me of the countless embarrassing acts I've committed. And boy is there an abundance of those. To the ever-surprising deep thoughts that spur in the recesses of my mind; For example, If the earth were to never have been hit by the countless water holding asteroids that gave it life, would life had started on another similar planet, with a similar reality to ours now? or on a less astronomical level, how many lives have I changed through the countless interactions within my life?
As to quote the famous Australian Minties slogan "It's times like these we need."
Sometimes it's good to be surrounded by the silence of boredom and to remove oneself from the rush of daily life. Time taken for yourself is never time wasted. I have no doubt that whomever is reading this very sentence. Yes, you. Have been through times of immense stress, where everything needs to be done by 5 minutes ago. To times where you felt so alone that even those closest to you couldn't fill the emptiness within. But no matter what, if you make an opportunity to remove yourself from a situation and just take a step back. It will leave you with a sense of psychological awareness that no well-being yoga class can give to you. You are the vaccine against negativity. You are the deciding factor of success. And you are the one to create your opportunities. If there is one thing I live by in life, It's that if you're not an advocate for yourself, who is.
So to all of you feeling lost or without a cause, I urge you to look into yourself for an answer. I'm not preaching some new age medicine, all I'm writing about today is that we all need time to ourselves to let our mind wonder. Some may not realise that it can make the difference between failure and success. So if you take anything at all from todays, slightly more inspirational writing than what I had anticipated, it would be that when times are tough or life just isn't running on the rails, you are the first step in the change you need.
A word from the writer.
Josh.
